Things To Do in Batu Caves
Taking a Photo in Front of the Murugan Statue:
Start your Batu Caves tour by capturing a photo with the towering 42.7-meter golden statue of Lord Murugan, one of the site's most recognizable landmarks. It’s a must-have memory of your visit.
Climbing the 272 Rainbow Steps:
Next, challenge yourself by climbing the vibrant 272 steps leading to the Temple Cave. The colorful steps and the view from the top make the effort worthwhile, offering an iconic part of the Batu Caves experience.
Visiting the Temple Cave:
Once at the top, explore the awe-inspiring Temple Cave, the largest cave at Batu Caves. Inside, you'll find beautifully adorned Hindu shrines that reflect the spiritual importance of the site.

Spanning approximately 10 kilometers along the Selangor River, the fireflies in Kuala Selangor are recognized as the largest firefly colony in the world. Due to the extensive area they cover, several jetties offer boat services for firefly-watching tours, each with its designated territory. We have selected two specific jetties known for their serene and less crowded environments:
- Shared Tour: Bukit Belimbing Fireflies Park, located approximately a 15-minute drive from the restaurant.
- Private Tour: Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park, located about 20 minutes away by car from the restaurant.
Experience the world’s best firefly watching in Kuala Selangor, where you’ll witness thousands of fireflies illuminating the mangroves in a mesmerizing display. Tourists can choose between a fully private experience on a manual rowing boat or a shared adventure on a motorized boat, both of which can be selected through our convenient booking system.
Fireflies Boat Option
Shared Tour: Enjoy the experience aboard an engine-powered boat, shared with other passengers.
Private Tour: Experience the tranquility of a manual rowing boat, which is reserved exclusively for you. Each boat accommodates up to four passengers; for groups larger than four, multiple boats will be provided.
The visibility of fireflies is highly affected by weather conditions; we cannot see fireflies if it is a thunderstorm.
The return journey to Kuala Lumpur takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and the specific jetty used for the firefly-watching experience. Tourists can expect to arrive at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur between 9:45 PM and 10:00 PM.
